This tour is a wonderful way to see the glaciers on a luxury boat. The travel starts to the northeast, getting into Punta Avellaneda and Boca Del Diablo (the narrowest passage of the lake, 800 meters width approximately).
After 3 hours of navigation, the different iceberg’s combination, with many colors and sizes, tell us we are close to Upsala Glacier. We stop in front of a big icebergs gate that normally constrains the entrance to the Upsala channel, and if the weather allows it, we get to see the Upsala Glacier from that distance.
We continue through Lago Argentino, going south, and then we take Spegazzini channel to get to the Glacier of same name. The navigation allows us to get really close to this glacier, with front walls between 80 and 135 meters tall. We serve the lunch on board enjoying this wonderful view.
Getting to the afternoon, the “Crucero Leal” arrives to Puesto Las Vacas, (nice and quiet bay on Spegazzini channel), and we make a full stop to allow the passengers to share an interesting hike with our guide team. From these angles is possible to see the Spegazzini Glacier in magnificent ways.
Later on, we start the way back taking the Brazo Norte, to get to the private port “La Soledad” around 06.00pm
