We start picking the passengers up at the hotels at 8:30am. Once we are all together, we leave El Calafate to join the emblematic Route 40, where we will make a stop at the viewpoint of Argentino Lake.
After 100 km, we’ll arrive at the tourist inn La Leona, where we’ll have a mid-morning coffee accompanied with some of our typical handmade products.
Then we depart towards the main hull of La Estela, where we will start the adventure.
In the stable, our specialized guides will give you leggings and helmets, if you wish; and we will depart from the lodging towards the Yatén Refuge, located close of Viedma Lake.
During the tour you will be able to appreciate the most impressive landscapes in the area: Mount Fitz Roy, the Viedma Glacier and Cerro Torre. A brief overview of the native flora and fauna will be provided.
Arriving at the post, we can take a walk in the surroundings or enjoy a good glass of wine, while our guide prepares the best Patagonian launch in the heat of the fire.
After having eaten and enjoyed the place, we return to the estancia along the coast of Viedma Lake, to leave our horses and walk through the hull, where you’ll appreciate the full picture of the life in a Patagonian estancia.
It’s a full-day experience that will have you back in your hotel at evening, with the best memories of a well-lived Patagonian experience.
